I Like to
Read [Book glued to my hand]
write [pen in other hand]
paint [paint on my jeans]
Draw [Graphite on my finger tips]
listen to music [to tune out the world]
I write because I have to, I write whatever comes to mind.
I'm very much a teenager and hating every minute of it. I love god and girls. I love each and every member of my fucked up family and all of my amazing friends. I'm a walking contradiction with my rainbows and crosses that I wear. I attempt to paint and draw but it all just ends up as just one big mess, like my brain. I read to hide my lack of self esteem. I want to be a journalist and a artist when I grow up but who the hell knows when that will be. I feel free when I capture my feelings on canvas or a few lines in a notebook. You can say that I cant do this, I need to change, but this is me for right now. && right now, I need to be true to myself

tatteredparasol on November 10, 2007I'm so mad right now! My mom's being really jerkish and she's all like," We already have stuff planned so you can't go to Borders tonight! And this had better not start being a regular occurrance because you're not going with them anymore!" I'm trying not to cry and stuff, but she's like," Ya know I let you take art classes there, and now you just want to be with those people. They aren't saved, and I don't want you taking advice from people who don't know anything about God or the Bible." What?! Are you kidding me?! How could she not want me to hang out with people who know I'm gay and accept it? I mean, she wants me to be "best buddies" with the losers at my church who would condemn me the minute they found out about my gayness. That is not friendship; that is not love; heck, that isn't Christianity. My parents are clueless to the pain we contend with inside. Yet, when we find others like us, when we meet someone who can help us while helping themselves to cope with the pain, parents see fit to sever those bonds from which we experienced true friendship for the first time in lives. It is isn't fair...it's cruel..and inhumane, but they will never understand will they?
