I am here to speak of poetry...
of writing...
of spirit.....
a spirit that will never
die.
I have come to listen to
"Billy The Kid's Ghost Ballad."
and have found that spirit...
Americana, wild...spirit
this country was built on....
truely a work of art on so many levels.
I was privileged to listen and would note every soul do the same...
the writing and story telling is set beautifully to a nice acoustic set with the vocal style of Seger or Dylan...
Very Impressive to say the least.
This is why Im here...
because of wonderfully creative souls such as
Mr. James....
Lowell - Glad you liked it, just getting used to sending links, I'm from the B.C. generation - Before Computers, but getting sorted out slowly. I recorded Van's Independence Day and will send it along if I can get the wires untangled. Cheers, RC

There was no need for your extremely negative comment picking needlessly on every line in my poem when my poem is fine as it is and i honestly dont give a shit if you think the lines are "cliche", which they aren't "cliche" anyway. you are RUDE.
haha take a critique for what it is. it helps you! i know i've been very upset at people for it but it really ended up making me look at what i need to.... and i'd listen to what this guy has to say. ... and..... WRITE ON!

← negative=positive, if you do something about it. Close yourself off to constructive comment and you never get out of the hole. If you want to keep writing nothing but cliche, that's your choice. If you want to improve, listen to crits and read effective poetry.
← I don't write to be amazing at it. How is saying every line in my poem is shit going to help me? i wrote it in the middle of the fucking night when i woke up from a nightmare i had, how the fuck is it cliche? i should just change the whole dream and just because you think it's "cliche"? when its not anyway haha. everyone else who reads my poems enjoy them and i enjoy writing them and that's all i care about, i don't care about your stupid opinion and i wont change the way i write for you. perhaps you should read your own poems before posting such nasty comments on mine, cause your poems are extremely cliche and rather boring if i say so myself. hope i made myself clear.
I think that maybe we should just take remarks, even crude ones, as "creative critisism". . . we are apart of the poetic community on here to help and support one another as writers, not become enemies. . . cheer up.
Not sure what specific remarks you're referring to, but crude remarks are crude remarks, they're not informed and thoughtful criticism, no matter how you look at it. Cheers, Richard
