I've just logged back onto Allpoetry after a year and a half of inactivity. I've not written much recently, but I intend to change that.
I'm 19, currently working full-time, but I'll be studying English Literature at The University of Glasgow from this September.
Please feel free to make honest comments on my work - I'm not easily offended.

Pseudo Intellectual on September 14, 2006I appreciate your honesty, but I'm not sure I agree with you. I've not even been writing poetry for half a year, but I've always been one for short stories which I feel is reflected (perhaps too much) in my poems. I'll take a look at them in a year and then get back to you. I usually decide I hate one of my poems in less than a month, the only one that's stood the test of time is "Dreamers". I ended up deleting 15 other poems on writing.com despite not having one with less than 4.5 out of 5.
Only "The Student's Wife" and "Starving Artist" are contest inspired.

Amicus2K9 on September 13, 2006Thank you for the visit and the comment...read all of yours posted but no comment burst forth demanding attention, thus...
A ton of very young and intelligent talent lurks in your work and more than a smidgin of literate sophistication and literary awareness.
My feeling is that you want to say it all, right now, in every write you do and that is not an unusual pitfall for one who thas supped lightly of a vast world and been captured.
I note that most of your posted material is contest inspired, I would like to read a few things of your choice and see if the hint of jadedness continues or if it is just a practiced device or adopted style.
Thank you again....amicus...
