I am on a hiatus from writing poetry while I work on finishing a series of paintings that I hope to show in some galleries. My muse has switched from writing to art and I am very busy in the studio. This is good since I hadn't painted in over a year and now have a lot to get done. I will check in every now and then and see what you are all up to and if the mood hits me I may write something (I never know). Keep writing all of you and I will see you soon. Besides writing I love to draw and paint. I have my degree in art from Illinois State University (not going to tell you what year). I've participated in many shows and had a solo show at a gallery in Chicago, the Kuntswerk Galerie entitled, "Self Portraits and Other Fairy Tales". Right now I am illustrating childrens books mostly.
I also love music. I play piano, clarinet and guitar and I like to sing. I am also working in a professional music program called Acid Pro that is music loops and I write my own music. My husband is a musician and engineer and I have learned alot from him. I enjoy listening to music very much. Some of my favorite bands/artists are: Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Hole, Babes in Toyland, L7, Veruca Salt, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Sum 41, Janes Addiction, Greenday, PJ Harvey, Elliott Smith, the Pixies, Alice in Chains, Monster Magnet, The Offspring and of course, The Ramones.
I have a horse, a Rottweiler and 2 cats and they are all spoiled rotten and very silly. I can be kind of shy sometimes so don't get offended if I don't answer you right away or if I don't say much. I don't like to chat much. So, Hey Ho, Let's Go!!\*
