Feeling Flight
If wonder comes in pageantry
to pale in shadow's lust
Would ever there this silence be
beyond the bend of trust
Where magic rears its mystery
succumbs to brighter way
In dawn of Holy History
the truth of life portray
As oft' the golden leaves do bow
and sway to Autumn's wind
Such brilliance does our Lord endow
all nature to befriend
Where foul and beast cohabitate
with creatures large and small
For all have gift to procreate
those fittest rise to call
In natural scheme of life and love
the strive to live as One
Must seek assistance from above
a task completely done
Under the mantel mercy wears
we sit in crowned delight
For there is He who always cares
and carries us upright
To sing loud better angels' song
in voices heard on high
We can and will not e'er go wrong
spread wings beyond the sky
