    Hello PoemPete! I would like to welcome you to AllPoetry, this is a place where you can feel comfortable in posting all your own work and at the same time receive constructive and encouraging feedback.
    To make that feedback a continuing support we ask that you also comment on other people’s poetry, giving your opinion on four other poets for each piece of work you submit of your own would be greatly appreciated and is also a good way of getting to know new friends!

    There are lots of features you can check out too, you can add backgrounds etc to your work. Contest are run regularly in which you can win virtual trophies that will be added to your home page and points are awarded too (points are the monetary system in the AllPoetry world) when you earn points you can use them to promote your work and to hold your own contests.

    As a new member you have been awarded a free sample preferred membership, please don't worry when this runs out as you will still be able to post your poetry etc but do check out information on preferred memberships, as there are many benefits.

    Your poems speak to me. Like the music of the Gods and Goddesses of so many lakes and streams. Wrapping their cool waters around me in the tide of the shallows. Words cannot describe the joy and sorrow I feel, glancing at you. Shyly. Like a young maid, newly wed. Who is soon to see her bridle bed. Your poesy is the voice of a thousand men who cried out in the night... frightened of their own dreams and desires. I expect great things of you dear.
