Bob, I’ve been trying to write you a poem for sometime
But every time I start, I can’t find the right words to rhyme
It never sounds right so I start over, I hope you don’t mind
For when I try to write poetry for you, I feel so blind

So here I am with my pen once more
To write a poem that you will adore
Writing a poem for a poet so great
It seems that failing must be my fate

I am proud to call you a brother in the Lord
Fighting side by side, the Word as our sword
I am blessed every time I get to read your poetry
For it is always as beautiful and inspirational as can be

When I first met you, I was intimated by your amazing talent
But as time when on I could tell you were God sent
As I’ve spent time talking and getting to know you 
I realized that you could be the man of God I could look up to

So as I rap up and this poem comes to an end
I just want to thank you for being my friend
Thank you for showing me how a man of God should act
You’re a really amazing guy, and that’s a fact

This poem is dedicated to my friend and brother, Bob Barra.

Bob, I still can't put into words how incredible of an impact you've had on me - both spiritually and on my growth as a poet.

Both pictures were designed by me. First one I used Apophysis 2.0 and Photoshop CS to create. The second one I made using Photoshop CS. I did a google search for TheM0of and came across a website where he said that it was his drumset.  The sunset background I made using Bryce 5. Picture in the corner is a drawing of a laughing Jesus. I just did a google search for that picture as well. I figured that's how Jesus was and it resembles Bob's attitude.

    You have found an inspiring and uplifting poet to call friend...and brother! What a blessing God has sent to you! To each of you...
    You have a great way of utilizing rhyme...it is truly surprising...great job!
    And I find your Author Notes to be very, very touching as well...

    wow. this is sooo cool! i really like it. (am i forever to be wrighing comments just behind you NMNM!!??? Luv ya)
    I liked how you wrote about the difficulty in writing for him. I think thats really cool.
    lil thing tho. 5th stanza, 1st line. did you mean wrap? (u wrote rap)
    Beautiful poem. it is very well expressed. Tho i dont really know, it seems this is really how you feel, that you really wrote it how it is.

    hmm... different but still it was well said! very nicely written, i could (to some extent, given that i don't know what you look like) picture you saying that to Bob. very nicely said NMNM

    Wow, I cried, to tell you the truth. This is so sweet and caring. I know that you and Bob really have a great friendship and it is so clear by your poem and his response. These are really beautiful pictures as well! I like what you did here

    Words could ne'er tell, my Timothy,
    The many ways you have blessed me;
    And if I fail, it's for what is true,
    For I surely see our Jesus in you;

    Yet, I must say with greatest conviction,
    Your heart shows great love with grand depiction;
    And it's found when you're simply Tim,
    For this is the one who's born again.

    Love ya, li'l buddy; you've also been a great blessing in my life. What can we say, but it is the Lord, who is the best of us.

    Thanks for the honor, shown through this write, and existing before it came into being.

    this is such a good poem. I love how you started out the poem it was so cute! I also liked how you put in the spiritual angle. I'm sure "The Moof" will love this poem. Great love in this contest
