This is wondrous, inside and out. I love the simplicity, and the gentle rythm that seems to appear within the mind. A soft, serene song of the truth of universiality beyond duality.

`Never heard about this (Nothing happens) poem.`Ha,.. that is really very good!
I for myself hear it everywhere, but can`t write it, as I am written by it myself.

dear rod, thank you for your appreciation. finally, things are simple. it is only our mind which is confused. so thank you to remind the beauty of equanimity, which welcomes all as equal, free from the preferences of the ego. be also ever bright, dear brother.

Well, jean-marc, metaphors or not, I find here a simple and direct poetic statement of spiritual truth. It brings me two distinct messages: First, that what is within our consciousness is what we perceive around us - when we touch and know our inner being we unsderstand what (and why) it is we view without. Second, I see a statement of balance, an equation, equanimity, peace. Peace is the even, equal flow in and out, receiving from the One Source, giving unstinted to the One Source in all its manifestation.

See-saw, up/down...all in apparent motion about the still, peaceful balance of Being.

And you said all that (to me, anyway) in a simple set of word equations. Well done. To me, all the great teachers teach/taught in simple, poetic statement to let those with eyes and ears see and hear.

    Be ever bright, brother!

    Rod

but what about the lasting ?
    tell us about it !
you know how to do that ...
    .
    .
    .
let's see if some inspiration will come ...

thank you, john, for your appreciation. yes, in fact, separating in and out is only a game of the mind. as i saw that you like the word "gratitude", we can also say "gratitude in, gratitude out".

jean-marc! wonderful interpretation! kind of like the "garbage in, garbage out" theory! great and simple write, not filled with all the complexities that provide chaos! great job here! John
