Left Too Soon

I look out my window and see the flowers blooming....
I see the birds, they're feeding their chicks....
The bees are buzzing and pollinating flowers....
The rabbits in the hedge show their young the tenderest shoots....
They all have someone, but I am without....
The deer bring their fawns into the field....
I wish I could show you this....
Watch you laugh and giggle....
Tickle your tummy and make funny faces....
I miss giving you bathes and playing with the bubbles....
The bedtime stories and the endless questions of "why"....
I miss you, why did you have to leave so soon....
I barely got acquainted, your blue eyes and honey blond hair....
I wish I could just hold you in my arms again....
Look, there's a robin feeding her chicks....

    Wow

Indeed this is a very sad poem, but you've written this very well. I'm glad it's nothing personal for you though. But it happens in everyday life. Your an amazing poet, and thanks a lot for entering my contest and good luck! I will be around to read and comment more on your poems so until then take care! Bye!

      Merry meet,

Thank you for commenting on my poem. It did happen to a friend, the child's death was ruled as crib death, but that didn't make a difference for her. They did have other children, but this little boy always has a special place in their hearts.

Amethyst Moonjade, this is so sad and I'm sorry. You've expressed your pining with great poignance.
