ANIMAL ABUSE IS WRONG PEOPLE!!!
People who use animal abuse as a way to entertain themselves are just sicko's and deserve to be arrested. Animals are beings made by god and as far as i am concerned no matter how many times they mess up or do something wrong,kicking yelling or abuse is not going to help them know whats wrong from right. Not only dose it not teach them right from wrong... but it hurts them and makes them think you hate them. If animals think you hate them then they wonder what they did wrong and become afraid to do anything. I believe that animal cops are hero's. They help conserve our wonderful pets and stop the abuse. If any one that's reading this apply's animal abuse to any type of animal in any type of way.... I know this for sure so take my word, animal abuse for entertainment is not worth it!!!! Its terrible to animals, to people, if there is another life form in space it would be terrible to them too!!! There are so many ways to apply animal abuse today. There are over 20 ways to apply animal abuse, and they are all unfair and wrong. My best friend and i are posting posters all over Virgina beach against this. Buckskinprincess (my couisin) and a woman that works at Lynnhaven middle school (my school), Mrs. Lewis i would just like to say thankyou. You both have insrpired my best friend and i to try to make todays world a better place, for animals, for people, for EVERYBODY! PLEASE HELP US STOP ANIMAL ABUSE!!!

Although this is not a poem, after reading Buckskinprincess's entry about horse slaughter, i thought i would be good to let people know about whats happening in todays world

What you've said here is very true... I really agree with you on this. Violence is not the answer, and you're right, animals are living creatures as well as humans. The thing is, we not only need to stop animal abuse, but abuse towards each other as well... for example, there are people who will beat the living daylights out of a fellow human and then go home and treat their pet with tenderness and love. Anyway, I'm ranting, back to the subject. Yes, animal abuse is very wrong, and it needs to stop. They don't learn from it, and it will only scare or anger them. As for the other issue... I am a vegetarian as well. I don't think eating meat is totally wrong, because it is natural and plenty of animals (some of which could live without it) do it as well. I do, however, oppose the brutality used in the methods of slaughtering these animals.

I applaud your cause and your bravery. You express these feelings here with such power and emotion. I have seen other types of abuse to animals also. Like ppl who don't water and feed their pets properly. And ppl who stick them in the back yard on a chain, with no love or praise, and this is very sad also. You are right. These ppl should be arrested, and they should never, ever be allowed to have pets again, without going to jail. I am very proud of you for sending out this message to the world, something you truly believe in. I love animals. I can see you have a deep love for them. BRAVO!!!! Thanks for sharing this.

My best friend's babysitter has a kid and she is only 4 and she beats up her kid.It's just plain wrong and the animal abuse I really wish you luck about this.

I'm a vegeterian also.. I don't understand how ppl can do it either omg... I sit there and watch my brother gnaw on a hamburger and it makes me sick to my stomach to think that just a few wks ago that was a living breathing cow... *shudder*
I hope there's something i can do for the poor animals.. I thought about writing a letter to the president about animal abuse/horse slaughter, but who take a 12 yr old seriously about that? -
Lol this isn't my piece but i thought i should tell u what i think on this as well lol...
I don't eat meat... at all.. im not a vegeterian cuz i eat other things than.. vegetables and stuff.. lol
And i suppose it's (as much as it pains me to say "alright" for soemthing like this..) alright for medical reasons. My grandfather AND great uncle recently died of cancer, and I really hope they're doing all they can to prevent it from happening to others... I just wish they didn't have to hurt the animals to do it! But i guess if it must be done, then it must be done, right?
And I'm 12 so idk bout all the.. price stuff and everything.. But yes, If i ate meat, i would care enuff 2 pay the extra money.
I don't wear makeup for the reason of it being tested on mice and rabbits and such... It's horrible that animal's must suffer for us to look PRETTY my goodness! It's like a test of.. morals.. (idk if that makes sense. Hm. but u know what i mean ) : Look pretty for all those empty headed guys and have animals die for it, or have a guy like us for us and still have the animals? I'll tak the 2nd choice..

I can't agree more with this topic - I am a vegetarian and so is my son - I believe that all living things on this planet are as worthy as we are. The only thing that sets us apart from animals is the fact that we speak a language that is understood by the majority. So we can scream out "Please don't kill my baby"- where as a cow or a lamb or any other animal that is purely bred for the satisfaction of someones tastebuds can not scream out in a language that we can or even want to understand. So when they give birth to their young and are in the process of still breast feeding and nurturing their babies they have to stand by and then have their offspring taken from their side never to be seen again. I have lived on a property where the owner of the land sold baby cows to a supermarket chain to be slaughtered for the sale of meat. I could no longer live amongst this murder after seeing these mother cows huddle together when their babies had been taken - they would moan as if crying for hours and sometimes days after this cruel repetitive breeding cycle. I do not understand why or how anyone could think about eating something that was once alive - breathing - eating - feeling - reproducing. The excuse so many meat eaters have is that they don't do the killing or do not witness the cruelty - they just cook it and eat it after the deed is done. Those who play any part in the chain of this process which is slaughter is as bad as the slaughterman himself. That is like excusing yourself from being accomplise to a murder if you were the one that just got rid of the body after somebody else had already killed it - im afraid you are part of the crime. There is nothing that excuses animal cruelty.
I always say to my son that one day when the animals turn around and take over the planet and start eating people we will be passed by because we will be remembered for not being part of the cruel murder that human society think is o.k. -
Whilst I am horrified by cruelty to animals, this is no excuse for illiteracy. Why not spell-check?
I assume you do not eat battery-raised chickens. Nor do you approve of intensive farming of any type, I assume. If you eat any intensively farmed meats or eggs, then you are a hypocrite. Practice what you preach. I also assume you are totally opposed to all forms of medical research involving animals.
There is no moral difference between kicking a dog, starving a cat, ill-treating a horse, using a monkey or a rate or a mouse for cancer research. If you do not accept this, you are totally insane.
Either you believe in treating animals decently or you don't. And it starts in your pocket. Organically raised/free range meat, humanely slaughtered, is sadly 3x the price of cheap factory chicken. DO YOU CARE ENOUGH TO PAY THE EXTRA?????? And if you buy cosmetics, do you check whether they were tested on animals in cages, do you care if rabbits had filth shoved in their eyes? PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU STAND. I hope you are with me. -

I agree with you and well two weeks ago buried an old dog that we had for fourteen years. He was in the middle of a median strip on a very busy highway and hungry. He was glad to have someone give him a home. I rescue dogs and other animals and have found homes for puppies that needed them. My dogs are like my children and I think that my pets appreciate what efforts others do for their cousins. -
I AGREE! animal abuse is wrong! It's also illegal, and no animal is "too small" to be unappreciated. Animal's are wonderful and deserve to be treated that way. Animal's are like guardian angels. They give for us, and live for us, love us and teach us to care, and also teach us responsibility of our actions. but most of all they love us for who we are and see potential in us in the darkest of times and when no one else does! Shouldn't we do the same?
Yes, we should. But we don't! We repay their love and respect with cruelty and abuse. Just bcuz an animal makes a mistake does NOT mean it should be treated with anything less than love!
Mistic, this was awesome and i totally agree. I will b hanging fliers up around Lexington against this, and letting ppl know about the terrible things being done to animals. -
