Why is the Troll Under the Bridge ?

Once Upon a time, there was a Grand Grandfather,
who just sought to tell his grand grandsons some stories.
Some are good, some are certainly not,
some are rich, some had no discernible plot,
just like this one, he started in a bleak raining night:
“By a road traveled a traveler with his sister at his side,
when a bridge he had to cross, he heard a voice,
of a troll that lived there, just beneath.”
But one of his grand grandsons had no desire
to travel further and needed to inquire:
“Why is the Troll Beneath the Bridge ?”
The Grand Grandfather was very lenient,
and with a grand grandsmile replied:
“I can not tell you so, the Troll was there,
that is all You need to know”, but before he could
resume his scary fairy tale, the kid replied:
“Had not him a mommy and daddy to a house
give to him ? Why is the Troll beneath a Bridge ?”
The Grand Grandfather could not be angered,
with such pure and gentle question. Only a child
could, with a troll’s health, be worried.
“No, my son. This troll was already old,
and had to reside in any place he could.”
But he saw the kid’s eye wriggles up and down,
and he knew the kid wasn't yet pleased,
and not all his questions are yet answered.
“ But you are also, like the troll, already old,
but here you can always be as in your home”
No Grand Grandfather could be upset with
such sweet kid’s suggestion. With a breath
he continued “Beneath the bridge run a river,
With clear crystal water, running fresh and cool.
under the bridge cover, the troll was safe from the sun,
and with a long cane, strong line and a hook,
the troll only desired a big fish to cook.”
The Grand Grandson still asked, but now
with glee and a smile open broad:
“And what about the travelers,  the boy and  his sister?”
The Grand Grandfather looked stern.
The Grand Grandchild looked concerned.
“They looked under the bridge, and saw
the  Troll fishing. They are very surprised,
with one breath yelled: Grandfather!
To beneath the bridge they moved and with
the troll they joined. A big fish was  all they wanted.”
The kid was very happy and now he knew,
Why is the troll beneath the bridge ?
Under the cool shadow; to fish with his grandsons.

WOw, this is really great! The great grandson is such a cute character; the typical, adorable, innocent child. THen you added a bunch to "the troll lives under the bridge" to make a wonderful, original story! Wonderful dahling My favorite part was-

“Had not him a mommy and daddy to a house
give to him ? Why is the Troll beneath a Bridge ?”
The Grand Grandfather could not be angered,

Good luck and thanks for entering! ~hannah~

    I LOVE IT

That was so sweet, I loved it; the heart of a child is something to admire it was truly tender and meek it took my heart.
