29 September, Wow
we have shared another year!
12 months ago, who would have thought
we’d celebrate this day
92 today
that is my gran, I have
been blessed to know, a woman
who can touch the heart
and teach the soul to grow.
92 long years
she has walked this life
and shared her love and pain,
her legacy grows stronger still
with every passing day.
Grandchildren by the dozen
A family very large
Have gathered once again to show
How much she owns our hearts
Day by Day we give our thanks
For her wisdom, And her love
And pray to Source that she be blessed
In her journey as she is moves forth.
We all know now
That this may be
Our final farewell to her
A tribute then to one who taught
5 generation to love as one!

OK so here I am crying my heart out as this special person has just slipped back into a coma, now only time will tel!

A beautiful tribute
Thank you for the truly beautiful poem. You showed us that your gran has such a warmth, love for others, wisdom and a powerful spiritual soul. I now know where you inherited these qualities! You too are the one who holds your family and friends together!
My mom and dad died not knowing any of their children on the physical/emotional level - but like you, I know I shared a deep contact on the spiritual level with both of them. Being present at my dad's death was in fact the beginning of my own spritual journey!! So he guided me right through to his final breath - a wonderful priviledge to have known him. I feel that you feel this sense of priviledge yourself. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks tanzanite, I wish she could know this on a physical / emotional level, however she is way bejong the point where there is any cognitave recognition. I can now only comunicate with the soul, and hope that she is in a position to take the healing that I have offered.

What a great poem reminds me of my 98 year old grandmother whos still trecking the states like she was 80. This is so fun to read, all families should have such a women to hold them together. Thanks for sharing, keep it up, and thanks for commenting on my poem.
