Masterpiece (in waiting)

Missing image
The white canvas
like the mind,
lending its space
for creation's
flow.

Layer upon layer,
ever building
with texture
and substance
until, birth
begins.

The boldness in
strokes of genius,
playing a subtle
synchronization
in pools of
blue.

Coltrane's cool jazz
in the background
of my mind,
a flute's staccato
brushing gently
my way.

Revealing this
mastery in progress.
Color of the palette,
over-flowing in
tender tendrils
of life.

Years of wisdom
bleeding into
the image, with each
pass of the brush.
Breathing life,

Within the still's
stare, lies trans-ed
forms of intellect's
beauty. Hiding
in dream's shadows
and shades,
of lavender.

Author notes

APTP week 1 mission 1
lavender shadows
Christina is a masterpiece in waiting. Like the still life painting above, a work in progress. I think both pieces of art will be completed in their own time. By the way, the title of the painting is Lavender Shadows.

As I have slowly began to delve into lavender's talents, I think you have truly summed it up within this lovely and beautiful tribute.
She is indeed a person of extreme talent who will surely reach potential with the help and guidance from those who are as encouraging and talented as yourself
    Best wishes always

Alluring from beginning to end. This had style and a flare that whisked you up into her world and showed her colors. Wisdom beyond her years is very evident, a very old soul I feel. You did a fantastic job on this, so smooth and leaves you wanting to savor the essense of it. A masterpiece itself! Bravo! Blessings, Gyspy

I will reread this again because I feel a bit may have escaped me at the beginning. Despite that though, I had such a 'blossoming' feeling throughout this. The ending truly personified her.

    Oh, i adore this :-)

Gorgeous poem, very polished and clean. The creation process is an amazing thing and i love poems that express it in unique and interesting ways. This does that.
    Beautiful work, enjoyed it.

    Precious

The true Artist saw Beauty and Light -- and then it materialized. We as His creatures are given the ability to do just that: in all art forms AND by being true to our Creator. Your beautiful poem of Light and Lavender and your equally lovely Muse are examples of divine creativity.

I'm glad my AP daughter is finding herself here, and nice tribute to a true treasure... there are a few things you missed, like 'strong-willed' and 'perfectionist', if you ever decide to add a part II to this...!

Wow, I'm so honoured that you wrote this about me! You penned me so well, grasped me better than I do myself. I don't think I told you everything you included about me in this piece, and yet, you were right on. My main musical instrument is the flute, and one of my specialities is staccato notes. Despite all the different styles available, jazz is my favourite to sing. And the 'synchronization in pools of blue' too! Wow...

This is such an exquisite piece, the words flowing gracefully throughout. I absolutely adore this, in itself it's a masterpiece. Thank you so much for writing this, now I do see myself in another light!
