A friend will not talk bad about you and will never lie.
Friends are always there for you if you need to cry.
Friends will be there for you through thick and through thin.
When the rest of the world walks out on you, a friend will walk in.
Friends are always there for you, even when you don’t call.
Friends will always pick you up whenever you trip and fall.
A friend is a person who shows up unannounced just to say hello.
When something is wrong and you need help, a friend will know.
When all seems lost, no matter what, a friend will make you smile.
A friend will never sell you short; just to make their friendship worthwhile.
Friends are always there to lend an ear in your times of need.
Friends will never judge you or leave you for their greed.
A friend is a rare thing to have especially ones that are true.
A friend never believes rumors without first asking you.
Friendship is a deep feeling of belonging, love and trust.
Friends are the first to hear the news before you bust.
A friend in need is a friend in deed as the saying goes.
A friend’s smile warms your day; and understands your foes.
A friend is there to share the good times and the bad.
A friend is there to lift you up if you’re ever feelings sad.
Friends stand by you, no matter what; they always have your back.
Friends are there to help you keep your life on track.
A friend never reveals your deepest secrets to any one.
A friend will always forgive you no matter what you have done.
A friend will never take your loved one away just to spite you.
A friend will help you when you need it and when you don’t too.
Friends like these are hard to find so keep yours under lock and key.
Friendship is a powerful bond, to be treasured, I am sure you agree!

Wow! A long poem that truley defines the meaning of 'Friendship.' The rhyme sounds sort of forced, but it's beautiful, none the less. Good luck!

I thought this was an excellent poem. The rhythm stutters here and there, but it really doesn't matter. I especially loved the lines:-
"A friend is a rare thing to have especially ones that are true.

I like this, all except keeping them under lock and key. That's the surest way to lose them. Nobody likes to feel locked in to anything, even if it's a good thing. Otherwise, this is all true, and well said.

I don't think you had to rhyme in this piece. I love rhyme as much as the next person but I believe your poem could of been more effective and stronger without the rhyme. Overall it was well written. I felt like this piece related to me so well because the line "A friend will never take your loved one away just to spite you." because 2 people I thought were my friends spread rumors just to get my bf to dump me or vice versa. They apologized but they were never my true friends just imposters. Since those 2 foes of mine I have met some really good friends and now know what good friends are. The same goes for not having a scum bag boyfriend. Now I disagree best friends is what this poem should be about because there are to many guidlines for just a friend. I have friends who will share a laugh with me from time to time but isn't always there.

This was pretty good. Probably better than your last poem I critiqued. There are a lot of cliched lines here, but you do a fantastic job on showing such raw emotion and adoration, and you used such common text to express one of the greatest simplicities--friendship. Great job with this. Pen on!
