Sew a tender garment
Of kisses that will heal
Wrap her in Your silence,
A wheel within a wheel
Where mountains cannot thunder
And winds of chaos die
Where stars of promise glimmer
Beyond the crimson sky.
Reveal a jade oasis,
The safety of Your smile,
Where even though she's hurting
She'll sit with You awhile
And let her heart be lulled,
And let her soul be swept
Aloft to silver turrets
Where whispered words are kept.
And all the world may tumble
In shards of slivered sky
But she won't even notice
When You have caught her eye.
Author notes
There are twin flames burning fiercely in my heart today... the two sides of love. I have come across three broken hearts this evening, and the burden of their grief nearly loosed my tears from their hiding place. Sometimes our Father allows us an unexpected, clear glimpse of the anguish in a hurting soul; and at the same moment He whispers to us that He sees it all, every time we are hurt... every one of His children. And He feels the anguish as deeply as anguish can be felt. God never once held back from identifying with us.
My gift, I have finally come to realize, is to comfort. It is the first impulse that springs to my mind when I witness another's heartache, and the hardest influence to bear when there is nothing I can do to ease their grief. I wrote the following with all three friends in mind... I hope it serves its purpose and relieves some heavy hearts.

Wonderful
Sometimes souls that are hurting lash out to hurt others, and I would like to address your prayer to God for my sister. The rest, healing and gentleness you have expressed are much needed in the world. Your meter and rhymes are very pleasant, like a setting of a gem.

As I was reading this, the gift of mercy, or "comfort", came to mind. I definitely see that in this. There also may be a gift of exhortation/encouragement as well. God isn't limited to giving only one gift to His child. There are often overlapping gifts in a believer, plus exhortation works very well in writes like this. Praise the Lord for the gift and talent exhibited in you this day.

The beauty in this piece is phenominal. The wording was really great and the flow was so unforced. This conveys alot of emotion, it's a really good poem.

This is one of the most beautiful poems of love and grace I have read in a very long time. WOW! Sometimes, I think of all my woes and then I rethink them again. I have no problems at all when I think of other's maladies. This is so heartfelt and so pure. I thank the heavens daily for people like you. I too seem to have the same gift that you do and that's just what I consider it, a gift from above. I am an empath and have helped so many people in taking their pain and grief from them. I really would like to talk to you sometime. If you ever see me online, please IM me. Be Well and Be Blessed Always!

I have not received news from my girlfriend, and I worry that something may have happened to her. I have no way of knowing if she is safe. It is a long and complicated story; please pray for us, for her, for me, that I keep strong in my faith in Him, and His Son, Jesus Christ. I didn’t fully understand your poem, but I know there is hope in faith, please pray for her, Lorelei, please pray for me, Max, pray for us, pray for our love. That God may bless and sanctify it. Let my worries and worst fears be left behind, for God will remove mountains. Surely the faith of a mustard seed will be enough to save her.
Thank you and peace be with you, with Love, Max. -
