I write music for two bands, The Disasternauts!- a progressive modern rock band, and Polycentric- an electro-acoustic/subpop band.
My main influences on my writing are Joey Cape, Derrick Plourde, Ben Gibbard, Sara Bareilles, Paul Simon, Hunter S. Thompson, Bill Watterson, and Piet Hein.
A poet should be of the old-fahioned meaningless brand: obscure, esoteric, symbolic, -- the critics demand it; so if there's a poem of mine that you do understand I'll gladly explain what it means till you don't understand it. -- Piet Hein
