WRITING IN THE BLOOD

Man Vs Mirror

Man:

"In my mirror, I used to stare
Searching for the truth, "who am I?"
Does it have anything to declare?
And if yes, can I get the chance to try
Seeing my own self? Hearing no lie?
How I am now, and how I were
And how I will be at the time I die
Time passed by, leaving me in despair
For I have got not a single reply
To ask my mirror again, I won't dare
I'll never question "How, when and why" "

The mirror hears man speaking to himself, fearing he's turned insane or something...

Mirror:

"The truth is in you, you've always known
In your heart, your soul, your deepest eyes
I'm just wood, metal, or even stone
I've no power to speak or mesmerize
You can touch the answers in what you own
The way you live, and fall, again you rise
Teach life a lesson when you're alone
Because it's never heaven or paradise
Never let despair control or sit on your throne
Believe in you, hence you get the prize"

Man is quite astonished, his mirror is so wise...

Man:

"Is it the word "prize" that I hear?
Something for which I won't pay?
No...This is a trap I do fear
For life never gives anything away
O mirror... This does sound so queer
My sky forever is so dull and grey
I wish it were more blue more clear
So that I'd enjoy the shine of day
If what I approach to became so near
I'd be happy and get my own way"

Mirror:
"I see you've reached something to decide
Yet you should never forget your aim
Keeping your precious dignity and pride
Don't you be deceived by life's fake game
You won't be able to take all the chide
The feeling of hurt, sorrow and blame
I fear for you, I'm on your side
We are ONE, not just the same

"There's an important difference between giving up and letting go."
-Jessica Hatchigan

and when it came to love, I had given up, but never let go
I was taught to never be a quitter, however you can never push your so-called "other half" to love when he no longer has the capacity to do so...

More about me:
Some friends call me an MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) and i don't find it something bad,
we're all human beings and being complicated is one of our basic traits...

Writing, and more precisely poetry , is the brush i color my world with, the oxygen in my air and the shelter i know i'm most welcome to any time, whenever i feel my heart and mind have decided upon something to share with my soul.
