My soul is a wolf and I belong to the forest.
The humans cut her down and I protect her.
But my heart is held by a girl's lingering eyes,
I wish her to be wolven, there so I may be hers.
But I watch her from a distance, she sees me, and for once I feel the comfort of the human's soul, never have I by any other.
So I protect her and the forest, yet I hope to never see the day when I have to choose between them.

My soul belongs to the forest,
my heart belongs to the girl.

The soul or the heart, which is stronger?
~ Glenn Scott Thomas

"how wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world"
~Ann Frank

"In a world of absurdity, we must creat reason. We must creat beauty and grace out of nothingness and, because there is violence, we must expose its ugliness. And because there is hate, we must unmask its grim purpose. Arid because there is despair, we must redeem it with hope. Because there is oblivion, we must remember."
~Elie Weisel (Holocaust surviver)

"Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, which has turned my life into one long night."
~Elie Wiesel

"Man raises himself toward God by the questions he asks Him. Man questions God and God answers. But we don't understand His answers. We can't understand them. Because they come from the depths of the soul, and there they stay there until death. You will find the true answers, my child, only within yourself!"
~Elie Weisel (Holocaust surviver)

"There is no greatness where there is no simplicity, goodness, and truth."
~Leo Tolstoy

"He to whom God has granted wisdom and eloquence in speech ought not to hide these gifts in silence, but gladly to make use of them."
~Marie De France

"Consider you origin; you were not born to live like brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge."
~Donte Alighieri

"Gloomy people... always write merry things, while the cheerful depress people with their writings. And I am a cheerful man."
~Anton Chekhov

"A poet carries his land within himself. I never left Poland."
~Czestaw Mitasz

"The remarkable thing in man is not that he despairs, but that he overcomes or forgets despair."
~Albert Camus

~Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

"I was dumbfounded by the sight of so much beauty, and find myself unable to describe it adequately."
~Christopher Columbus

"I'm no a slave to a God that doesn't exsist, I'm not a slave to a world that doesn't give a shit."
~Marilyn Manson

River, New York:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

Standing in a river of morning mist,
A place where the water never halts it’s pace,
And so I remain pushed upon by this busy flow,
Standing in an average traffic jam,
Main-street, New York.

Drink By Date On Bottle:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

In a transparent case,
Vanilla nectar is hidden,
Drink your sweet juices,
The key is but a twistable cap of blue.

Office Space:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

A stack of helpless papers hang in the balance,
Fluttering to the floor,
Dancing about my feet in a crazy waltz,
Dead is their purpose now,
And once again find them selves left in the dust of eraser and pencil shavings.

Ball Game:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

See the shells of the ocean,
Scattered upon the metal hills of seats,
Colored according to the favorite team,
Sitting up so high in their green field,
Fresh cut,
Complete with orange diamond,
Lined in white,
Yes,
Today is a good day,
A day for our American pastime.

Singafelt:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

Feeling for new feelings,
For new touches,
In these crutches,
These hands of mine do sing.

Tear-Jerker:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

Breaking apart the very borders of heaven,
Her voice does also break me of these tears tonight,
I pray for her, I sing for her, do anything for her,
These tears don’t stop this fight this night.

Cherry Picker:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

O’ red cherries,
So sweetly ripened,
How I long to eat thee,
But wait another day, we shall.

Field Dreamer:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

Flowers drip their morning due on me,
I breathe in the sweet air of Earth,
Lay with me in the wet, cold grass,
And fill your mind with dreams once again.

The Singer-Box:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

A tune, so sweet, is being carried on the wind,
It’s beautiful soul kisses your ears,
Tickles your spine,
But drives a nail through your heart…
Again and again,
Driving the song’s truth into your heart,
Again.

School Doze:
~Glenn Scott Thomas

Sleeping her own dear slumbers,
The desk of her math class,
Does indeed make great,
Sweet,
Absolute,
Comfort.
Smash the watch,
Sleep your sweet slumbers.
