“We are so small we can barely be seen.
How can this great love be inside us?
Look at our eyes. They are small,
but they see wondrous things.”

magdelene : i meant to say more on January 17...about your poem. all i can say is i'm realizing how much i love peoples' minds. a lot of the blacks i know want to be lighter; "he's too dark-skinned, girl, how can you find him cute?" a lot of the muslims i knew thought somalis were dirty; a lot of white americans i know think somalis smell bad. a hear people in meetings refer to god as God, or God as god; Him or It, It or Her; when in our literature it's written "Him" some just say "God." (i.e, '..with knowledge of His will for us...' becomes '...with knowledge of God's will for us...')...I find people's backgrounds and their predjeduces because of their backgrounds absolutely beautiful...except when it results in war or hate...but i have my own preconceptions about groups of people or types of people that i'm learning about...most are surprising, some are scary. but it's all fascinating. that's what i meant. i find judgement and fear beautiful in its own right.
(i don't think either of us are the same people we were a year and a half ago when we stopped talking, sarah. fuck, that was a long time ago.) -
vaguelyfamiliar on December 11, 2007Your user picture reminds me of the girl from Requiem For a Dream, when they are on top of the building, flying paper airplanes.
I don't know why.
I read your poetry all the time, even though I don't comment. -

They both inspired me so much,

so much so, that it's on my myspace.

i think i will read some of your poetry.
