I'm Joy, and I write. Poetry, fan fiction, fiction, and lyrics. I will tell you a little about the things that drive my soul to write (and to survive day to day). I am a devout Christian, and a strict vegan. I have a great love for animals; my favorites are rabbits, meerkats, and cats. I am a loner and yet I love to write about people...
I am the definition of a fanatic, and if you ever want your head talked off endlessly about: Archie Comics; Laverne & Shirley; Welcome Back, Kotter; The Monkees; WKRP in Cincinnati; let me know, I'll be happy to suffice.
My favorite writers are Paul Zindel, Edgar Allan Poe, Ray Bradbury, John Steinbeck, and Phyllis Wheatley. My favorite books are Pardon Me, You're Stepping On My Eyeball! by Paul Zindel, and Animal Farm by George Orwell.
If a poem/lyric references somebody named Charlie, I am either referring to Charles Fleischer (one of my favorite actors/people) or a fictional character of mine named Charlie Clark. They pop up occasionally.
Even though none of my poems are marked critical, kind critiques are welcome. I just tired of the cluttered look of things. Also...categories are difficult to choose sometimes, don't you think? Other, other, other. Hehe. ^_^
Thank you to anybody who leaves me comments! I may return the favor if I feel so inclined! I decided to post quite a few poems and then stop (which I have done) and just add casually, so I will have more poems than comments for awhile, and will continue to leave lots of positive notes in my free time!
