Her Story:
My name is Olivia. You can also call me Livi, Livia, Loopy, or Liver. I draw, read, write, create computer graphics, shop, and occasionally feel like screaming about the obvious unfairness of my parents. If you see me exhibiting symptoms of 'writer's block,' (no new poems on my page, not visiting AP for long periods of time) please humor me as I search for new inspiration...and know that the common illness is not contagious.

A Friendly Reminder:
As with many other writers, some of my poems may not relate directly to my life. I use poetry to express my deepest thoughts and feelings, and please realize that I
write anything and everything I feel like writing (and I'm sure you do too). So don't assume that everything/anything in every one of my poems happened to me.

Don't forget to look at my older poems as well! I'm sure you know that the poems on the author page are not the only ones I've written.

To think about:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

I asked you if you liked me, you said no. I asked you if I was pretty, you said no. I asked you if i was in your heart, you said no. I asked you if you would cry if I walked away, you said no. So I walked away...and you grabbed my arm and said: "I don't like you, I love you... You're not pretty, you're beautiful... You're not in my heart, you are my heart...And I wouldn't cry if you walked away, I would die...I love you."

Those list things that everyone either makes up or copies from somewhere else:

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it.

FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. Please No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

If you love Jesus, put this in your profile.

If you'd walk 5,000 miles to spend 5 minutes with someone who you love, put this in your profile.

If you'd give your life for your friend, put this in your profile.

Why do boys fall in love with girls?

1. They will always smell good even if it's just shampoo.
2. The way their heads always find the right spot on our shoulder.
3. How cute they look when they sleep.
4. The ease in which they fit into our arms .
5. The way they kiss you and all of a sudden everything is right in the world.
6. How cute they are when they eat.
7. The way they take hours to get dressed but in the end it makes it all worth while.
8. Because they are always warm even when its minus 30 outside.
9. The way they look good no matter what they wear.
10. The way they fish for compliments even though you both know that you think she's the most beautiful girl on this earth.
11. How cute they are when they argue.
12. The way her hand always finds yours.
13. The way they smile.
14. The way you feel when you see their name on the call ID after you just had a big fight.
15. The way she says "lets not fight anymore" even though you know that an hour later....
16. The way that they kiss after you have had a fight.
17. The way they kiss you when you say "I love you".
18. Actually...Just the way they kiss you...
19. The way they fall into your arms when they cry.
20. Then the way they apologize for crying over something that silly.
21. The way they hit you and expect it to hurt.
22. Then the way they apologize when it does hurt (even though we don't admit it).
23. The way they say "I miss you".
24. The way you miss them.
25. The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it doesn't hurt her anymore...

I'm the girl...

Who will crack up in the middle of the day at something that happened YESTERDAY...

Who mooches gum, shoes, makeup, and clothing off her friends, but NEVER money

Who believes that it is the 21ST CENTURY and if girls want to ask a guy out instead of waiting then the guys better get used to it

Who is comfortable around guys and is able to like them as guy friends and not boyfriends

Who is comfortable around guys and would love to like a great guy as a boyfriend

Who loves the smell and taste of black liquorice, mushrooms, black olives, AND spinach

Who will always have her friend's back

Who can't stand speedos, buzz cuts, or muscle shirts on guys no matter what

Whose friends have to drag her away from the shoes section when they go shopping...

Who would love to go dancing in the rain

Who LOVES sensitive guys, and who thinks it's cute when sensitive guys pretend they're tough

Who has finally decided not to let her life be run by the popular crowd...and to be whoever she wants to be.

Death of an Innocent

I went to a party, Mom,
I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
So I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom,
The way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom,
Even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom,
I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom,
As everyone is driving out of sight.

As I got into my car, Mom,
I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me,
So responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom,
But as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn't see me, Mom,
And hit me like a load.

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom,
I hear the policeman say,
"The other guy is drunk," Mom,
And now I'm the one who will pay.

I'm lying here dying, Mom...
I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?
My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom,
And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom,
I'll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom,
I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom.
The others didn't think.

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank
And I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now.
Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom,
And I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying
And all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom.
Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom,
Put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.

Someone should have told him, Mom,
Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom,
I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom.
I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom.
When I needed you,
you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom.
Before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive,
So why am I the one to die?

More useless information about her:

Status: Currently taken by a completely sweet boy named Chad.

Favorite Food: pizza, ice cream, lasagna, skittles

A quirky fact: I am ticklish anywhere and everywhere. If you poke me, I'll laugh!

Little things that matter to me a whole bunch: good-smelling perfume and lotion, Show Choir, colorful funky socks, high heel shoes, chocolate...and my friends & family.

Something I do when nobody's looking: dance around my room and sing loudly into my hair brush with my music cranked up.

Why I love allpoetry: it's a completely anonymous site so I can write anything, and there's no reason for me to try to 'blend in'

If you actually read my whole profile: you're either bored out of your mind, or you actually liked the things in it. I choose to believe the latter.

~Wishing you well,
