Hello all.
For me, poetry is just another way to escape the harsh realities of this world. Unsure of how to describe this feeling to others, I call it a 'hobby'. I would consider myself an amatuer poet, but I am always looking for ways to further my writing skill. I am often inspired by reading others' work, so that is one of the main reasons I am a member of this fine site. However, the reason that is most important to me is hearing others' feedback, be it positive or no. Anyone taking the time to tell me how much they love or hate my work touches me, and really brightens my day. I love expressing my feelings about poems that deserve it, so I comment often. I hope to learn from each and every person here. I will see you around...
