Unfortunately it seems that when it comes to contemporary Americans people read Edgar Allan Poe and whatever else is required by the occasional english class and nothing more. Poe is fine, if a bit overrated, but there is so much more poetry out there. Please explore, lest the linguistic artists of the past be lost to memories of the dead.
I have come to the conclusion that life without love is worthless and love is too painful to live for.
This leaves me with three alternatives: Hedonism, Stoicism, suicide.
And philosophy gives me a headache.
