I don't consider writing poetry as one of my prime occupations. I liked many poems when at school and many I have read since, but my very small output has been mostly widespread over the years. For a while, when in a writer's club (for non-poetic reasons), I increased my poetry output a little, but I think my best poems have come at other times.
My style is usually a bit old hat and four-square, but some topics, particularly music and astronomy, can inpire me at times to be a little more adventurous.
My main music interests are classical (orchestral and the piano), although I did enjoy greatly singing in a male voice choir for over 30 years.
Trying to publish a book or two I have written on parapsychology takes up most of my time these days: as J.B.Priestley said, 'We live in a world of fantastic events and staggering coincidences'. But being a great grandad can be very time consuming!
