I dont have a idea about my poems. I just write what I felt at the time that my body wants to write a poem. I do like ABAAB rhyming poems though. Im currently Studying to Become a Paramedic in college. My pastimes are Archery, Lots of Nature, Battling the Past, and Analysing Music. Heres a good quote I found that explains what its like getting inside my head: "I have a mind like a steel trap. Stuff gets in there and WHAM! it never gets back out again".
Poetry is what gets lost in translation
(Robert Frost)
The ear is the only true writer and the only true reader.
(Robert Frost)
To be a poet is a condition, not a profession
(Robert Frost)
“When I was young, I was so interested in baseball that my family was afraid I’d waste my life to be a pitcher. Later they were afraid that I’d waste my life and be a poet.” He smiled gently and added, “They were right” (Robert Frost)
Do your duty in all things. You cannot do more, you should never wish to do less.
(Robert E. Lee)
A true man of honor feels humbled himself when he cannot help humbling others.
(Robert E. Lee)
What a cruel thing is war: to separate and destroy families and friends, and mar the purest joys and happiness God has granted us in this world; to fill our hearts with hatred instead of love for our neighbors, and to devastate the fair face of this beautiful world.
