Emo Girls- Not Eccentric these are Cool Chicks The words Emo was and is still today have been associated with a style of rock music that exhibits a multidimensional style of music with common stylistic roots. However the term soon became a subject of controversy as in the 1980s, the term being described as a sub-genre hardcore punk that owes its origin at Washington D.C. The term Emo soon began to mean different to different people rather than a specific genre of music. With time the word Emo is getting associated with a particular trend of fashion and style. The Emo girls reflect its present meaning of trend-setting fashion. The Emo girls are dressed with tight jeans, short sleeves T-shirts with the long fringe either brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes. The hair color of an Emo girl is dyed black. The hair of the Emo girls is generally longer than that of the Emo boys, but never beyond the shoulder length. The T-shirts of the Emo girls reflect the name of the particular rock band they are interested in. They wear some junk accessories. Often studded belts adorn their waistline.

The shoes of the Emo girls might be canvas sneakers or skate shoes or even old, worn out black shoes. They simply want to give a rusty, non-conformity look. The Emo girls dress in such a way that they want to represent their growing up in their own styles. They tend to imitate the rock bands, as they love to be associated with music. They follow their heart and are extremely spontaneous by nature. Emo girls are overly sensitive and intend to break all social norms and set practices. They do not respond to any works that are imposed upon by force. They generally listen to the call of their inner self and love to lead a life of independence and enjoy freedom in their unique style. In recent days the Emo girls are often referred to some who are sad or who suffer from depression. Even sensitive, shy, introvert or extreme Emotional girls are often called as Emo girls too. However, with time the term is also being used to refer to the homosexual slurs. This is largely the reflection of the style or the dress that the Emo girls put on and the behavior that they exhibit. As the adage goes “We wear our attitudes” holds true in describing the word Emo with the present styles and dress of the Emo girls. The Emo girls behave in non-conforming manners because they feel that they are misunderstood and would like to do things with little or no regard to the society and reality at large. At times because of their dressing style it becomes difficult to distinguish a Emo girl from a Emo boy. The Emo girls are generally not been seen as smiling. Again, being Emo constitutes committing self-harm or positively writing poetries. They can also be referred as being depressed and bisexual too. However, Emo girls tend to live a life in their own style and fashion, ignoring the standard norms and customs.

Both emo boys and emo girls can paint lips under colour of skin, use a light powder cream, the person looks pale, eyes are painted with the eyeliner and look really as a bright spot on a face. Eyes are a mirror of emos’ soul. Soul contains all their emotions. Narrow jeans, sometimes with holes or patches; a belt with a chain or with a pink “hello kitty” or powergirls. Fitting T-shirts with ridiculous children's drawings (the Mikki-mouse, a SpongeBob SquarePants), black with names of emo-groups, with the crossed pistols (a classical inscription: bang-bang) or with the hearts broken off in shreds on a breast – emo clothes really differs from our usual one. Standing gym shoes, on their hands they have multi-coloured bracelets, on their neck they wear a large bright beads or the white pearls borrowed from the grandmother. A sweater with v-cut, jackets with badges, jumper looks like was produced in the USSR period, a waistcoat with rhombuses as the grandfather wore, the long striped scarves, pierced tongue, lips, ears, a nose, nose bridge – emo love something unusual and controversial.

Often emo boys have their ears “tunneled”: big holes in ears are made (on average 12-16 mm) and the round ear rings or tunnels are put into them (bagels with a hole inside). Emo kids go with bags through a shoulder or backpacks on which many badges, soft toys or patches hang up. Some emo kids wear square glasses with transparent glasses in a black frame and striped gaiters on hands (the most widespread - black-pink). Nails are done with a black varnish (boys often have their nails bare but some polish their nails in back too), in ears emo guys have ear-phones (the widespread phenomenon is that emo kids listen to music on a cassette player, and at home they use the old-fashion vinyl records to enjoy their songs), in their bags they have the mini version of a “sony playstation”, houses dendy.

Emo kids can often visit second-hand markets, although some deny this fact. Many emos say that there they can find thing which are not sold in the most expensive boutiques. Nowadays there are many shops intended especially for emo in Great Britain and the USA.

And the last thing … I’d like to tell that it is not necessary to perceive all this as due. These are just stereotypes. And everything is actually much deeper, than the appearance is. Everyone can think as he wants to. Do not live with the stereotypes. Also do not judge people for appearance.

And absolutely the last thing.... It’s possible to be the fashionable person, it’s possible to seem superemotional, but inside to have nothing. Believe me. Think of it.

How does emo look? Thin, high teenagers (emo boys) with rigid, straight, black hair (the fragmentary bang closing a half of the face, the back of the head is covered with the hair which stick out in every possible way), emo girls can possibly have children's, ridiculous haircuts - two small tails made in the most sophisticated way, bright hearts on each side, especially lovely it looks in a combination with chubby sponges and the big naive eyes.

So, as we have already found out, expression of emotions is the main rule for emo kids (those who think they belong to subculture emo). Self-expression, confronting the injustice, especially, sensitive attitude, emo guy is often a vulnerable and depressive teenager. He can be distinguished from the crowd by his bright appearance; he searches for accomplices (emo boy or emo girl) and dreams of happy love. Unlike it is now (nobody knows when it has happened – the change in emo-consciousness), emo boy doesn’t go on cemeteries, doesn’t suck blood and doesn’t think of death all the time. “I'm crying” - is showing the face of the person, for emo guy it is peculiar to change mood often and cardinally, he is not able to be quiet. Steadiness, a rest condition, apathy - what is it?!

It is impossible to compare one emo group with another. Each of them has different emotions, and each of them express them out in a different way. The most important thing is that they are sincere and their “Culture rules” tell them to behave so. A standard set for any emo group: the guitar, a bass, drums and the soloist with a strong voice, able to sing the highest notes. Violent force of music, the most complicated parts, the impulsiveness, long shout bursting a membrane (scream) - all this is emo. If the girl wants to become emo girl it will be enough for her to follow next simple rules, which are as simple as possible. Observing all these rules in the right way will be enough to reach your ambition to become the emo girl. You will achieve great results, do not have any doubts anyway:

1. as for beginning it’s enough to buy a pair of fitting jeans, a black T-shirt of the suitable size and a thick black belt. It is also possible and is rather good to buy gym shoes.

2. Use eye blushes, a black eye-liner. You should also buy a black backpack or an express bag, then decorate it with your proof-reader, different ribbons, labels and badges.

3. Now it is time to choose appropriate accessories. Bracelets with skulls or something like that will perfectly go, gloves without fingers, and checkered or black ribbons for your hair will be an excellent choice. The emo girls also start to polish their nails with a black or silvery varnish.

4. If you have seriously intended to become an emo girl, you should buy a book or borrow some in the library , the huge one, boringly looking book, and reading it, but not in the park.
