Welcome....

If you are a dreamer, come in
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer,
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin
Come in!
Come in!

-Shel Silverstein
(I do not own this poem. He does. All him.)

JABBERWOCKY
Lewis Carroll
(from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872)
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Edgar Allan Poe Quotes.
(some of my favorite.)

All religion, my friend, is simply evolved out of fraud, fear, greed, imagination, and poetry.
Edgar Allan Poe

All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.
Edgar Allan Poe

I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
Edgar Allan Poe

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
Edgar Allan Poe

I have, indeed, no abhorrence of danger, except in its absolute effect - in terror.
Edgar Allan Poe

Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words.
Edgar Allan Poe

The death of a beautiful woman, is unquestionably the most poetical topic in the world.
Edgar Allan Poe

I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat.
Edgar Allan Poe

I have great faith in fools; self-confidence my friends call it.

Hello. My name is Morgann Hernendez/Talbot. Other wise know as Jackalin(or Jack). I'm 17 years old. Soon to be 18; God help me; and I love poetry and stories. (As you can tell from me being here on Allpoetry and also on the sister site Storywrite.) I live in Jasper, Texas (gah!) and go to school at Jasper High School. (Didn't take em much to come up with a name did it? lol ) You may also call it "Hell on Earth" =^.^= please...never vacation here or you will be sucked into a void of nothingness and suffer. Thank you for flying hell lines and enjoy your flight. Bye bye! ^.^ ... T.T and yes...its that bad. lol

As you can see, some of my favorite poets are eccentric and are very much their own person. That's how I am. I love to act crazy and I don't care if people stop and stare because I'm having the time of my life. I have some awesomly amazing friends on here. One of my best friends 'Stormy Ann'; (Don't know if she wants her real name used or not.); is as crazy a loon as I am. We're quite a pair when it comes to writing and goofing off. Especially if we get in trouble.... O.O ....I'm not going to get too far into that. lol My other best friend James; my God I adore him; is extreamly funny and is very...blunt. lol I love him to death! As I do my Stormy Ann! And my bubba BraveBear! He's my big little brother and I love him! ^.^ He's sweet and random....Hotpockets are what he loves best. lol They're all completely random and so much fun! And they write some of the best poetry. (Their here on Allpoetry also.)

I have two Allpoetry mom's which whom I adore, and a lovley sister. Their poems are as beautiful as they are.

Thank you for reading and hopefully you will enjoy my poetry, and I will enjoy yours.
My love,
Jack.
