Goodbye My Love ♥ One Deadly Way or Another
Death a perfect stranger came,
He stood beside me in the sand,
Do not fear, I am kind he said,
as he gently gripped my hand...
He smiled, we laughed,
for days we talked,
our friendship grew into years,
I loved him from the day we met,
he always stayed and dried my tears...
Of broken hearts he sat with me,
his arm around my waist,
no need to yet come home with me,
you have hours left to waste...
People came and went you know,
but death was always there,
waiting like a perfect love,
when no one else would care...
One last time she broke my heart,
I could no long bear the pain,
I reached out, sweet death was there,
We stepped into the rain...
The wind blew hard,the water cold,
my blood slowed to a crawl,
a warm familiar voice said come,
and we both began to fall...
The darkness it surrounded me,
The thunder filled my ears,
a hundred million moments lost,
a lake of bitter tears...
My memory regreted,
all the things I'd left undone,
forgetful,selfish moments,
days lost to a setting sun...
It was rest that I really needed,
freed from my own demanding ways,
questions, no more answers,
only nights, no more days...
I was blind,
I could not see,
my own creation,
dark reality...
where am I now,
I can not tell,
silent darkness,
I'm locked in hell...
