Greetings, I am 20 years old African American woman and just graduated from high school. I am also a supporter of homosexual rights, although I am straight. I know I'm late comming out of high school but all of that does not matter. My full name is Keisha Marie Davis. I'm interested in goth culture and yes, consider myself goth. To me it's more of a state of mind than anything else. I am christan but I have some wiccan belifes and yes, dabble in magic and tarrot card readings. I not much of a church goer and I believe that you do not have to attend church to prove that you believe in God. When it comes to music, I listen to everything but I love rock music. Evanesance is my all time favorite. No, I don't have a picture of myself I can post online. I'm short....about 5'2, big gurl with curves, dark skin and my hair is blond. I usualy dress in band tees and jeans but sometimes I wear things like long skirts, lace panchos, and combat boots. I have been writting poetry since I was thirteen. Most of my poetry is a bit on the dark side and somewhat depressing. I cannot write happy poetry, because it's just not my style. I think dark and romantic poetry reminds us all that we are human, and that life is not all rainbows and happy endings. I have a way of thinking that may shock some people. A dark state of mind is what makes me who I am. I have a slight fasination with death and the other dark and morbid things life has to offer. I am against human rights violations. There is a civil war going on in Burma between ethnic rebel armies that are fighting for democracy against the burmese dictatorship military junta who wants to oust the ethnic people. the tatmadaw (burmese soldiers) rape, murder, distroy crops, force people to leave thier homes, forced labor and use drug money to buy weapons. I am against this cruelty 100%. Most of the time what I write is based on the dark side of what life offers and it's distruction. I think where ever there is light, darkness fallows. I also left out more personal facts. I play the electric guitar and I'm in a band. We play a combonation of goth, soul, and hard rock. We call ourselves "The Black Roses". That too, inspired me to write the kind of poetry that I do. I hope the cruel Military Junta in Burma will end someday so those people can live in peace, and not be affraid anymore.
