I'm Rob.
I'm a single dad raising a 4 year old on my own.
His name is Landon. (Momma's been gone for a while) R.I.P. Though you're still breathing you're dead to me!
I'm not all that great with computers so as soon as I get someone to help me I will load in some pictures of me and him. And maybe some cool pictures to go with some of my poems. I was on the Army bomb squad (EOD) for a while and worked on the bomb squad in Wahington D.C but now I do independent contracting for the prevention of terrorism. "Yeaaaah that's a good way to put it".
Any way as far as the poetry goes I write in mostly two styles:
1. Dark angst. Mean; down right nasty, cruel, I hate life stuff.
2. Easy flow in the style of the older poets. Frost, Yeats,
Longfellow, Wilde, Wordsworth. Well you get the picture I
don't need to name the all.
My favorite Author and my favorite poem are perfect examples of my style

Elfin on February 7, 2006Thakyou for your comments on the Old Salt, I truly like good critisism, you are right about the spelling I will edit that next.About the title, although you are right in your desciption of an old salt, in this case to me I percieved a retired old fisherman just strolling along with only his memories as companions. Val.
