For the month of November:

Besides the rounds contests Im still in,

Im taking November off to write for NaNoWriMo.

I have roamed this planet for some time now, but I still feel like a wide-eyed child- naive and thirsting to know everything all at once. I have to remind myself to slow down.

I am sensitive to the rhythm, rhyme and cyclical nature of life. I am drawn to forms, meter and rhyme. I am developing a deep appreciation for free verse as well.

AP has been an enlightening and growing experience for me. I have been seriously writing for around a year. I feel that I have improved greatly, but I still have eons to go. Writing for me, like others, is cathartic. It lets me express those things that have been buried, pent up and basically ignored and not readily acceptable in my waking life.

I am unfurling, evolving and discovering new things daily. I get overwhelmed easily and withdraw, so if I don't message back or "return the favor" in commenting right away, please don't take it personally.

I have a wide variety of musical tastes that change with the wind...

I am constantly amazed at how music transposes word into a new dimension, a new experience...

I love this poem by Sir Samuel Ferguson

The Lark in the Clear Air

Dear thoughts are in my mind
And my soul soars enchanted,
As I hear the sweet lark sing
In the clear air of the day.
For a tender beaming smile
To my hope has been granted,
And tomorrow she shall hear
All my fond heart would say.

I shall tell her all my love,
All my soul's adoration,
And I think she will hear
And will not say me nay.
It is this that gives my soul
All its joyous elation,
As I hear the sweet lark sing
In the clear air of the day.

(Thank you Pamela for the lovely gift! )

I have met extraordinary people here who remind me that there is beauty, peace and symmetry in life. I am blessed to call you friends

This is Silver.  Don't be fooled by her serene countenance, she's quite wicked!

This is Tumbles, he's our midnight terror.

They round out our family and we love them dearly (which is a good thing because they are systematically destroying our carpet and furniture! ).

  • My Conundrum 1 This morning, on the way to drop off my daughter off at school, we passed a gruesome sight- a cat squashed on the side of the road, its internal sundries spread several yards down the road. This kind of thing upsets me- puts a dark cloud on the day.  Besides being a cat lover (general anim

  •   1 So, I have been scanning pictures, going through old documents and old school stuff like artwork, writings, etc.  Doing this is an attempt to organize my life and compile my life history. I was excited about this at first- it gave me a worthwhile project to pursue. I’m not that far along, but I have

You are privileged to be owned by these two beautiful animals, even though it's taking its toll on their furniture.

I fell in love with both as soon as I saw them. Check my site for lots of poem about my two, Pandora and Alice.

    Take care.
