Welcome. My name is NickRhyme. I like to write with rhyme because I enjoy the challenge of coming up with creative and unique rhyme schemes. I don't prefer a specific genre to write with, although most of my poems may be in certain genres.
I am a proud member of a group called Macabre Madness which deals with dark/macabre poetry, check it out if you think you might be interested. I also just started a group called Partners in Rhyme. The group is just starting out and will hopefully grow and become very active sometime soon.

Peripatetic on October 11Good point about being a writer. This is a writers' site that welcomes amateurs, but we are graced by the presence of many professionals. "Professional" is a standard of quality and experience more than it is a condition based on getting paid for our efforts. The standard for a writer is on a "more" or "less" scale as evaluated by readers and those who would be recognized as critics. Some few here are professionals by almost universal acclaim among participants as well as by poetry's public in general. Others are getting there. Here's to a great journey well begun, Nick Rhyme!
