Nermin NazimShow poetry

it is merely an expression of my feelings, hearthrobs, hopes, desires, anger and heartache.

I owe it to a special person who encouraged me to spill my heart in writing. He is also the source of my inspiration in so many instances.  A wonderful soul and grand human being.

Thank you my dear M Peker.

Queen of the Nile as called by my friends

This is  a present from my friend Andrew Wilkinson to me, thank you Andy Dearest

Kingdoms of the Nile
The once mighty kingdoms of the Nile, of pharaohs and queens both wise and beguiled,Their lives played out before us along the Nile,So hypnotic how easy Egypt beguiles, so sweet the perfume of her modern child,Oh lady of the Nile, tarry yet awhile… Tracing the beauty of time, not all are corrupted but enhanced and perfected,By the experience of living through time, such is the beauty of this goddessI find, whispering sweet approval of her heavenly connection, in my eyesSweet goddess of perfection… With the heavens above, feeling like a pharaoh on a royal barge of love,I Take this goddess in the arms of love, her naked perfection shared only with the gods above, slowly tenderly we make love, she whispers lord you are loved,Be my kingdom my love.
Another one from Andy to me,
But then my dear I'd have to touch your cheek,
with the most beautiful flower I could seek,
Blushing shyly but just so sweet, lady it's you're forever kiss I seek,
 my heart in blissful torment
By you my sweet..
Bows to sweet beauty your poet sweet...
Thanks Andy

And this is a precious Jewel I add to my crown and it was the present of my dear Bedovitch,
thank you my dear.

“Of the pharaoh’s”
• of the pharaoh’s city I met a girl
Her hair spangled in pearls
Surpassing the beauty of Nefertiti
Excelling her kindness and hospitality

• through the Nile her eyes so blue
Glittering along the beads of morning dew
From the kingdom of ancient Egypt
An angelic pharaoh slipped

• And it happened to be you
A pharaoh girl that no one knew
Among all those in sarcophagus that sleep
Time failed and one pharaoh did seep

• Among all those that left jewels in pyramids
Within the deserts amid
One had left riches inside me
And that pharaoh girl happened to be thee

• Of the pharaoh’s land I came across you
Jumping among reeds and reading papyrus too
King Tut didn’t knew about you
But you became close to my heart so true

Yunus Emre is my favorite
and I quote him
"Your love has wrested me away from me,
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.
Day and night I burn, gripped by agony,
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.

I find no great joy in being alive,
If I cease to exist, I would not grieve,
The only solace I have is your love,
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.

Lovers yearn for you, but your love slays them,
At the bottom of the sea it lays them,
It has God's images-it displays them;
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.

Let me drink the wine of love sip by sip,
Like Mecnun, live in the hills in hardship,
Day and night, care for you holds me in its grip,
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.

Even if, at the end, they make me die
And scatter my ashes up to the shy,
My pit would break into this outcry:
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.

"Yunus Emre the mystic" is my name,
Each passing day fans and rouses my flame,
What I desire in both worlds in the same:
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave."

Smiling is infectious; you catch it like a flu,
When someone smiles at me today, I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin
When he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile then I realize its worth,
A single smile, just like mine could travel around the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected
Let's start and epidemic quick, and get the world infected!
