For once in my life,
I am faithful.
For once in my life,
I am free.
For once in my life,
I have purpose.
For once in my life,
I am me.
Romans 8:36-37 says "As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
I believe God has us to go through things in life (i.e. hard times, poverty, death, temptaions, etc.) not to make us suffer, but to make us stronger. Trials by faith are the basis through which we grow closer to God. Not only do they help us to improve the communication to God when we pray, but they enable us to learn how to handle such things on our own. In a way, God finds way to make us see that we cannot truly deal with things on our own, while building us up to the point so that if we or someone we know is faced with similar trials, we are better able to handle it without relying on Him entirely. It takes a broader mind to see that when Jesus said he helps those who help themselves, he didnt mean it in a way so that we are to basically fend for ourselves. it was meant to say that if we learn what to do when the time comes, we won't need Him to do all the work.
As far as my poetry goes, they are the inspired results of a majority of those trials i have faced. Others are me just being random, and others are my attempts at conveying passion and eroticism. One might question such a habit in a Christian, but i don't write them to get my jollies off. They are simply means of expressing something i find to be beautiful. Your opinion, while valued, is of no consequence to me. Sorry to be blunt, but you're not God. I still love you, though...
Anyways, feel free to have a look-see at my tomes. Maybe you'll like them; maybe you won't. Regardless, I just hope that when you read them, you'll see the messages i'm trying to convey.

Wolf-Gem : Hmmm on November 7, 2007Life just pissed me off. I was mostly mad at myself because I made a big fuss over a paper and didn't get much sleep.. The walls are so cold and lonely without your voice.
