"The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this:
A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive.
To him...
a touch is a blow,
a sound is a noise,
a misfortune is a tragedy,
a joy is an ecstasy,
a friend is a lover,
a lover is a god,
and failure is death.
Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create - - - so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating."
-Pearl S. Buck

First of all, I want to say thank you to all the wonderful poets I have met on AP. This has become an integral part of my life and I so enjoy meeting so many like-minded people here. I believe that poetry and the immense energy it creates is such a great contribution to humanity. Poetry is one of the only forms of expression that creates healing and self awareness at the same time. To all of you, I am humbled by your valuable insights, contributions and comments on my work.
Do comment on my poetry, that is what ultimately inspires us all to write, to have fellow poets reading your work. Like so many of you, I have kept my poems hidden from the world for a long time...cause I'd rather have it keep its magic than sharing it with someone that might not perceive it in the same manner. Oh, I will always return the favour.
I believe that we all grow togehter, transforming and evolving as poets. I believe that each and every person in this special community of poets are blessed with divine abilities, for poetry is and extension of the Creator and you are all open to the creativity of your souls. To be creative is what souls are ultimately about! I am a firm believer in the paths of souls and that we are all here to have a certain experience chosen by our souls! I also believe that one should never judge the paths of others, no matter how much we might disagree with their lifestyles. Bow to the paths of others, their past their futures, and everything they are!
"Try never to think about anything the same way twice"
Ok, I've decided its time to share with you...the greatest poets & philosophers of all time, some of my favourite pieces that you will surely love:
"Poetry can clear away the clutter, providing a tranquil space where thinking is possible" - Joseph Parisi
"POETS ARE ALL WHO LOVE - WHO FEEL GREAT TRUTHS - AND TELL THEM!!"
"Stone walls do not a prison make,
nor iron bars a cage;
Minds innocent and quiet take
That for an hermitage;
If I have freedom in my love,
And in my soul am free,
Angels alone that soar above
Enjoy such liberty"
- Richard Lovelace
"Every man has his little weakness. It often
takes the form of a desire to get something
for nothing."
- Elbert Hubbard
"The world may be divided into people that read,
people that write, people that think,
and fox-hunters"
- William Shenstone
"Don't you trouble trouble till trouble
troubles you.
Don't look for trouble'
let trouble look for you"
- Mark Guy Pearse
A NEW CHANGE:
Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and some absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays.
- Ralph Waldo Emmerson
"Never shrink from doing anything which your business calls you to do.
The man who is above his business, may one day find his business above him."
- Samuel Drew
Painting is silent poetry, and poetry painting that speaks!
- Napoleon I
I'm leaving you with one of my favourite poems ever by Elizabeth Barret Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
