Notes from Nancy 

I write free-verse and narrative poetry and am starting to explore metrical forms. My poems have been published in the poetry column of the Sanibel-Captiva "Island Sun".

Poetry Awards : "Into Africa: a Tribute to Dan Eldon", the artist and Reuter's youngest photojournalist until his tragic death in Mogadishu in 1993, was the recipient of Writing.com's 2008 Quill Award for Best Short Free-Verse Poem. About Me : I live on a small island off the SW Gulf Coast of Florida near beautiful Sanibel and Captiva Islands. From my lanai I'm able to watch dolphins jumping and playing, which is always a thrilling and very inspirational experience, especially for a poet!
