Let's see where to begin, I like the "old" rock 'n roll you know the 80's, but that isn't the only type of music I listen to, I like most of today's music, just not a lot of rap.
Some of the groups and single artists I like (more along the lines of adore) are, Tears for Fears, Bryan Adams, Pat Benatar, Roxette, Ace of Bass, The Eagles (Don Hinley), Journey (Steve Perry), Genesis (Phil Collins), Queen, Def Leppard, Van Halen, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Veronicas, Within Temptation (awesome group), Evanescance, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Seether, Crossfade, ZOEgirl, Sarah Mclachlan, Relient K, Lillix, Barlow Girl, etc.
Hobbies include arrow-head hunting, reading (not as much, I regret to say), singing, listening to the radio, swimming (when I get the chance), drawing (still not great at it but still enjoy it), reading quotes, and seeking wisdom (more than ever). I enjoy acting crazy on occassion, I've mellowed out since freshman year of highschool, now I'm a college junior (gasp), how time flies. Those who know me once described me as silly and now insist I was never annoying (yeah right). As of now I have no idea what they think of me, good or bad thing, I don't know that's rather unclear. I was born on July 22, 1988, I have a twin brother who usually acts like a brat (no, he's changed A LOT. He now thinks he is my gaurdian, wait, that hasn't changed.) he has become a good person, there is no more 'when he wants to be.' As for my work, most of my poetry comes from experiences I've had, but since I'm into the fantasy stuff (magic), I'll probably have a poem or two in that genre (that's still pretty valid, the more things change, the more they stay the same).

"You're Not Alone"
It's just like him
To wander off in the evergreen park
Slowly searching for any sign
Of the ones he used to love..
He says he's got nothing left to live for
(He says he's got nothing left...)
And this time I think you'll know..
You're not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out
You will live to tell
She's just like him
Spoiled rotten
Confused by the lies she's been fed
And she's searching for no one..
(But herself)
Her eyes turn to green and she seems to be happy
That she is here
And this time I think you'll know...
You're not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out
You will live to tell
You're not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out
(There is more to know)
We're not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out
You will live to tell..
(So tell me)
You're not alone
There is more to this, I know
You can make it out
(Make it out)
You will live to tell
(Live to tell)
You're not alone
There is more to this, I know
(And I know)
You can make it out
You will live to tell..
You are not alone.
You're not, you're not alone.

What Have You Done
Would you mind if I hurt you?
Understand that I need to
Wish that I had other choices
Than to harm the one I love
What have you done now?
I know I'd better stop trying
You know that there's no denying
I won't show mercy on you now
I know I should stop believing
I know that there's no retrieving
It's over now
What have you done?
What have you done now?
I, I've been waiting for someone like you
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?
Why, Why does fate make us suffer
There's a curse between us
Between me and you
What have you done?
What have you done now?
What have you done ?
What have you done now?
Would you mind if I killed you?
Would you mind if I tried to
Cause you have turned into my worst enemy?
You carry hate that I feel
It's over now
What have you done
What have you done now
I, I've been waiting for someone like you
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?
Why, Why does fate make us suffer
There's a curse between us
Between me and you
What have you done?
What have you done now?
What have you done?
What have you done now?
I will not fall
Won't let it go
We will be free
When it ends
I, I've been waiting for someone like you
But now you are slipping away
What have you done now?
Why, Why does fate make us suffer
There's a curse between us
Between me and you

If- by Rudyard Kipling:
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired of waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream-and not make dreams your master,
If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings-nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run-
Yours is the Earth and everything in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son!
Can't - Edgar Guest
Can't is the worst word that is written or spoken;
Doing more harm here than slander and lies;
On it is many a strong spirit broken,
And with it many a good purpose dies.
It springs from the lips of the thoughtless each morning
And robs us of courage we need through the day:
It rings in our ears like a timely sent warning
And laughs when we falter and fall by the way.
Can't is the father of feeble endeavor,
The parent of terror and halfhearted work;
It weakens the efforts of artisans clever,
And makes of the toiler an indolent shirk.
It poisons the soul of the man with a vision,
It stifles in infancy many a plan;
It greets honest toiling with open derision
And mocks the hopes and the dreams of a man.
Can't is a word none should speak without blushing;
To utter it should be a symbol of shame;
Ambition and courage it daily is crushing;
It blights a man's purpose and shortens his aim.
Despise it with all of your hatred of error;
Refuse it the lodgement it seeks in your brain;
Arm against it as a creature of terror,
And all that you dream of you someday shall gain.
Can't is the word that is foe to ambition,
An enemy ambushed to shatter your will;
Its prey is forever the man with a mission
And bows but to courage and patience and skill.
Hate it, with hatred that's deep and undying,
For once it is welcome 'twill break any man;
Whatever the goal you are seeking, keep trying
And answer this demon by saying: "I can."
It Can Be Done - Anonymous
The man who misses all the fun
Is he who says, "It can't be done."
In solemn pride he stands aloof
And greets each venture with reproof.
Had he the power he'd efface
The history of the human race;
We'd have no radio or motor cars,
No streets lit by electric stars;
No telegraph nor telephone,
We'd linger in the age of stone.
The world would sleep if things were run
By men who say, "It can't be done."
The Question - Anonymous
Were the whole world good as you-
not an atom better-
Were it just as pure and true,
Just as pure and true as you;
Just as strong in faith and works;
Just as free from crafty quirks;
All extortion, all deceit;
Schemes its neighbors to defeat;
Schemes its neighbors to defraud;
Schemes some culprit to applaud-
Would this world be better?
If the whole world followed you-
followed to the letter-
Would it be a nobler world,
All deceit and falsehood hurled
From it altogether;
Malice, selfishness, and lust,
Banished from beneath the crust,
Covering human hearts from view-
Tell me, if it followed you,
Would this world be better?
Will - Ella Wheeler Wilcox
There is no chance, no destiny, no fate,
Can circumvent or hinder or control
The firm resolve of a determined soul.
Gifts count for nothing; will alone is great;
All things give way before it, soon or late.
What obstacle can stay the mighty force
Of the sea-seeking river in it's course,
Or cause the ascending orb of day to wait?
Each well-born soul must win what it deserves.
Let the foolprate of luck. The fortunate
Is he whose earnest purpose never swerves,
whose slightest action or inaction serves
The one great aim. Why, even Death stands still,
And waits an hour sometimes for such a will.
You Mustn't Quit - I don't know the author, if someone
can tell me it would be highly
appreciated!
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must-but never quit.
Life is queer, with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won if he'd stuck it out;
Stick to your task, though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with one more blow.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt-
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things seem worst that YOU MUSTN'T QUIT.
Something I found quite funny: MURPHY'S LAWS of COMBAT, there are way too many laws and I am a lazy little person so I didn't put them all, sorry.
1. You are not a superman.
2. If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.
3. Don't look conspicuous, it draws fire.
4. When in doubt empty your magazine.
6. Never forget that your weapon was made by the lowest
bidder.
9. All 5-second grenade fuses will burn out in 3.
10. Try to look unimportant. The enemy may be low on ammo.
12. The enemy diversion you are ignoring is the main attack.
13. The important things are always simple.
14. The simple things are always hard.
15. The easy way is always mined.
20. If the enemy is in range, SO ARE YOU!
23. Radios will fail as soon as you need fire support
desperately.
26. Anything you do can get you shot, including doing nothing.
29. Make it tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.
32. Professional soldiers are predictable, but the world is
full of amateurs.
