My Broken BladeShow poetry

Im Miranda!
Im 20yrs old
I live with my mom in a big city
Very opinionated and honest
I have 2 cats, Ginger and Deliah
3 amazing parents and an extended family who love and care about me
5 tattoos on my body with a meaning
Fun and Crazy! And very outgoing!

People tell me that my razor is a pen,
and my skin is the paper I write my pain and tears on

"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world even when your having a bad hair day, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU..."

My favorite Quotes are:
"Guys are like bubble gum, you chew them for awhile, and then they start
to lose their flavor"

"In a world full of cherrios, why not be a fruit loop?"

"I love foreigners! They kick a$$!"

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched ... but are felt in the heart." ~Helen Keller~

" Many people will walk in
and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave
footprints in your heart." ~Author Unknown~

HOMOPHOBIA IS WRONG

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.

I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken awayfrom the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. Iwish they could adopt me.

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left mein a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be ableto walk again.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I nowlive with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system growsuddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner isalso a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a muchbetter person if I didn’t have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

you're quite a girl. thank you for your comment on "dear mom", it means a lot to me that someone gets it. she ripped up the hardcopy and threw it my face before splitting my lip in 3 places. i love your entire profile because i understand it and it is so much an explanation of who i am and what i think. you're a woman of great wisdom and a rather large heart and a tangible soul. and you're a fellow minnesotan so that give you brownie points lol. i go by sorrow, and i am a girl, also 17...my profile lies lol/ i look forward to reading your poetry and i'm glad you liked at least one of mine
