My Life As Venus
I always thought that I'd be able to fly
Then I catch myself

Surounding me are various sundry items:
Petals strewn on the floor
Paint brushes and pins and ribbons
Delicate red dancing shoes and
My favourite dress in odessa pink


I think I know the word "flower" in every language

I have made the simplest sweetest friends
I dream of making love to Pan
The flute is so so very fine

I will want to put it on for him

...we wear it as a wreath;
clasped to our chests:
our love
and our sometimes,
somehow dreams:
and we wear it so well...
wreathes of roses;

rosemary for remembrance...
