Hey I'm Courtney and I love to write poetry. I mostly write about love, pain, and loss. I joined allpoetry just last year and so far its been a great experience. I have been through rough times but I still have gotten through them. I know I'm not perfect and I don't try to be. I make mistakes like everyone else but I only learn from them. Like the saying goes, lose a loved one your heart grows bigger.I wrote this poem because it symbolizes things that have happened in my life as I've gotten older:
Born to be dead
he stayed strong
Beautiful to be
Brilliant blond hair
Flowing like the calm rivers
Still hanging on
Trying her best to fit in
Running on and on as life expected
Avoiding the bumps, and valleys along the path
Stumbling here and there
Getting right back on her feet
Fighting for her rights...
Today she is smart, beautiful still with her unique ways
