Hello and Merry Meet! My name is Cassandra, some know me as Wolf Heart, and here I am Moonlight Complex. I have been writing poetry since I was nine years old. I love to write poetry but it often takes a lot of thought for me to pull a very well written and beautiful poem. I have written hundreds of poems, but I only have a few that are my absolute favorites. I am most likely the hardest critic I have!
I am a very hard person to please when it comes to poetry. I prefer rhyming poetry and some may say that it's to childish like and that free verse is better. I do not agree, I think rhyming a poem can bring out it's true power. Most of my poetry rhymes, but every so often I write one out in free verse if I can't find the words in me to rhyme.
A lot of my poetry is very dark, depressing, or morbid. A lot of people ask me why I write this way. Am I depressed? Am I goth, emo perhaps? The answer is no. I am simply attracted and intrigued by the darker things in life. I believe to truely live you must embrace the light and the darkness of all things. I battled with depression when I was younger and can still tap into those feelings when I write my poetry.
Some of my interests include anything to do with, again, the darker things in life. I adore vampire, werewolves, and other supernatural things, especially in poetry. I am also highly interested in anything fantasy or contraversial. I like to look at a different angle on these subjects, such as Lucifer. Instead of seeing him as this evil being I see a sad, lonely, figure who was cast out for thinking differently than he was told. That's just an example of how I think.
I shall no longer bore you with my thoughts and random interests, if you are still reading you must be intrigued in some way. So continue on to my poetry. Just remember that every word you read is a piece of my soul.
