Now a little about me, I'm 32, and still single. I'm about to go buy a net, a tranquilizer gun and go hunting for my soul mate. The skittish little thing has to be hiding around here somewhere... LOL

I love animals and have a small zoo consisting of: Two cats, Romeo, a big black butterball and Julie, a tiny sassy little tortoiseshell. Six parakeets, Lily, Dink, Kiwi, Prince, Andy and Sparky. Benny, an adorable sweet Golden Retriever whose mission in life is to cover every surface in the house with a layer of golden fur.

I am fairly new here and to writing poetry. I used to love to write in high-school. Then when I was 19 or so I lost all the poems I had written. I was so heartbroken that, with the exception of the rare poem here or there, I couldn't bring myself to write again. Then back in January my friend Lena showed me her poems that she has on this site and encouraged me into signing up for an account. It was several months later that Lena finally pushed me into posting the few poems I had written for people over the years on here. I then tried a few contests and quickly rediscovered just how much I enjoyed writing.

As you will soon find out if you take the time to get to know me. I can be a little strange, but lots of fun to be around and you will even find some of my humor in my poetry. I am still learning how to write poetry, so I welcome helpful comments, but if you feel the need to just be rude or tear my work to shreds then please don't bother or else I will hide a wild rabid ferret in your underwear drawer...

Hum, it has been pointed out to me that ferrets can't get rabies...
I did not know that... So expect the ferret in your underwear to be wild and slightly miffed. Hey, You can laugh, but you should never doubt the effectiveness of a miffed ferret! Ever seen one fight? It’s like watching a razor-studded slinky in the spin cycle of a washing machine.

* Note to self: One should never edit their author page well in a weird goofy mood...

My poems are uniquely me. if you think their not right well then,
