Poetry is a big part of my life.
Friends of mine gave me the name "Modern Day Poe", I guess because Edgar Allen Poe inspired me to put the pen to paper.
I enjoy writing dark tales, only a select few are out of experience.
My ideas do not just span from my mind, but also from my emotions, thus my poems do not always have the same atmosphere.
I've written poems that may make people question me, if they are actually stories, but in my honest opinion, they are whatever you want them to be. Poetry to me is a gateway into the human Psyche, it brings out what others do not see, it's a peek into ones soul, heart, and mind.
I don't believe in standards set for what people say poetry should be, poetry is a form of expression, and we should be able to express it any way we please.
I do not follow guidelines, to me, they are pointless. I strive to put raw emotions into my writings, and enough detail so that you may feel as if you are there beside the person, and feel their pain or fear.
