Hello, my name is Robert. I'm from South-Africa. I've finished my 2nd year in Visual Studies. My subjects are visual communication, art history, philosophy, drama and fIlm- studies, and English literature. It is a theoretical course. Like most people, I'm only interested in living the good life. I try to find the truth of all things. I like to seek out mysteries of reality, the underlying forces that move it. The endless aspects that infuence it.
I have never produced anything of artistic substance. Thus far, I've only experienced artistic substance. Film, music, philosophy, literature and culture...and my own experience. Infact, this is what has taken up most of my time. The social question remains, how to offer meaning to the lives of others? I've heard one has to first learn to use a language properly, before writing your own. It relates to the idea that you first need to have objective knowledge before you can create a meaningful subjective self. This philosophy may be also linked to me. I'm still learning how to use language, and hopefully, in the near future, I can progress to producing my own. I am sure there are many people, those interested in artistic discourse, that find themselves in a similar position.
If I write here, I would probably be moved by ideas. I struggle to write about things where the main emphasis is the story, colour, emotion, social expression. At least in the conventional sense. I rather tend to put emphasis on the emergence of a human idea, and thus a human expression. This may contain story, colour, emotion, social expression, but only as secondary aspects.
I joined all poetry 5 years ago, when my mind was quite different, myself being a teenager. I do not recommend the things I had written back then. They are only forms of self-expression, and can have merit only in this light. Hopefully, I can write something new, and with practise, learn how to write poetry.

I prefer to be inclined towards beauty, as being "humble", think it resonates better with the language of nature. Monkey models, that's abs
