I just realized that I have never changed this. At all. And I remember when I first got this account (I remember everything about that day) I couldn't figure out what to say, because I didn't write a lot of good, readable poetry... but now I feel like I have enough to say.
.::Writing poetry has saved me. I'm not sure what else to say about that except that I am extremely glad that I've been writing more lately::.
.::I don't really have one specific writing style. At least, I haven't noticed one. There are some of my poems that are probably similar, but when I'm writing I don't feel my mind going in one direction all the time::.
.::I used to have a specific way to write my poems. I went to a poetry workshop back in March and the instructor noticed that when I wrote my rough draft of one of my poems, I already had it in neat four-line stanzas. That bothered me that I could be so predictable, so I've been trying to stay away from doing the same thing over and over again::.
.::I learned a lot about writing poetry at that workshop, and I don't think I'll ever forget it::.
.::Most of my poems are inspired by the same person or feeling. I have yet to meet someone or see something that can inspire me to write poetry the way he does. And I think it's probably because the extremely wide range of emotions that he makes me feel... some are good, some are bad, but all of them are strong. And I think everyone needs a person like that in their life::.
So that's a little (or a lot) about me, or at least about my poetry.
