Abilities: Countess Darktree can hear thought, and she uses the powers of mind-control to overpower her enemies.

Weapons: A stiletto dagger in the shape of a snake, encrusted with emeralds.

Strengths: Her calm demeanor and uncanny ability to exploit the fears of her enemies and use them to her advantage in battle.

Weaknesses: Though well-trained, she is young and has a fiery temper. In a tempestuous rage, she doesn't think clearly and is therefore unable to control her enemy's thoughts, leaving herself vulnerable to mental manipulation if the opponent is stronger.

Costume: Sparkly black corset, black bra and nylon gloves. She also sports a black-widow on one shoulder and a spiderweb beneath her right eye.

ORIGIN:

Marian Iliada Darktree was born out of wedlock, the product of a forbidden affair between a vampire and a human. Her mother died in childbirth, and her father was killed in battle not long after, leaving the young girl to fend for herself.  She was found in a castle on the outskirts of Elysium by a passing group of rebels, and they took her in as one of their own.

Once trained, young Marian dedicated her life to avenging her father's death. She studied sorcery and mind-control, and it is said that she drove many of her adoptive family members insane when angered, 'accidentally' killing off one of her own siblings. But the full extent of her power was not realized until a very unfortunate suitor came along.

The man's bloodlines were the same as those who killed her father. Hungry for revenge, Marian used his own memories of that battle against him: He went stark-raving mad, dissolving into convulsions before jumping from her castle tower, screaming.

As her lust for power grew stronger, the Countess went on a murderous rampage, killing entire villages in their sleep. None have been able to stop her of yet, but word is that she is amassing an army of rogues in a small town north of Elrenia.

Very little else is known of Countess Darktree's sinister past, except that she is said to have had a vampire-lover, identity unknown, who is pregnant with her child. She prefers to travel alone, and has no known relations.
