He can longer serve
But is still respected by me
He will never back down
For he will always be a Soldier
The war and battle haunts him everyday
He hears the screams and booms
He sees the blood and horror
But yet he never backs down
He is a Soldier
He is still a hero
Someone who gave up his rights
For you to have yours
He may still be alive
But he no longer does the job he enjoys
All because of an injury
That he will have to heal from everyday
