Which for so long were mute
Ears now attuned to the soft, melodic music
Of the heart
Basking in this new world
Undiscovered; with anticipation
Of all that is yet to be uncovered
Excitement building from within
Painted with a child’s naivety
To the possibility of pain
Content to lap up the nectar
Flowing from the stream
Of love’s utopia
