I WRITE FROM THE HEART. I WRITE IN MANY DIFFERENT STYLES. I AM DISABLED AND BLIND. I HAD A STROKE 3 YEARS AGO. I AM NOT ALWAYS ABLE TO STAY ON VERY LONG. I USE A VOICE READER AND WRITE IN CAPS SO I CAN SEE WELL ENOUGH AND SO I DO NOT HAVE T0 JUMP THROUGH HOOPS EDIT MY OWN WORK. I HAVE WRITTEN SINCE I WAS ABOUT 10. I LOVE ALL FORMS OF WRITTEN EXPRESSION. I USED TO WORK IN EDUCATION AND I LOVED WORKING WITH YOUTH IN WRITING GROUPS. FEEL FREE TO CONSTRUCTIVELY CRITCIZE MY WRITES. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO LOOKING AT THE WORKS ON THIS SITE.

Incredible Fairy on March 15, 2006HI, I'M NOT SURE IF YOU'VE CHECKED YOUR REPLIES IN THE POETRY FORUM, BUT I LEFT YOU SOME ADVICE THAT CAN HELP YOU SEE THE WORDS BETTER ON YOUR COMPUTER WITHOUT HAVING TO CUT, PASTE, AND ENLARGE THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

HAVE A GOOD EVENING. -
LadyUnique on March 11, 2006hi there
i see you are rather new to AllPoetry and i welcome you
this website has saved my life. if you read my author page you will understand why
when i wrote my poem 'life is losing' i had reached one of my many 'rope ends'. i have never tried suicide or gave it more than a passing thought. when i feel as the poem expresses it's more of a 'if it's my time to die it's fine with me' type of thing.
i've lived with depression and anxiety disorders most my life. i've been diagnosed and treated. in December of last year i was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis which started with optical neuritis.
a month ago i was fired. yes they knew about the MS. we all know that's why i was fired
my husband is disabled...won social security disability on first try
we are broke and will be without medical soon. i've gone to social services for help. i'm sure you know what that's like
it's exactly what a sick person doesn't need.
i'm now going for disability myself with my doctor's back-up. we know how vital that is.
i feel worse right now than i have ever felt...both physically, mentally and emotionally. i don't know how much longer it will be before cable is shut off and i can't go online anymore. i spend a GREAT deal of time here
anyhoo...my point of all this info is not to whine or have a pity party of one.
i guess my point is how writing has saved me more than once and is doing so again and to let you know you are not alone as far as disabilities and understanding where 'life is losing' is coming from
a short while back i wrote a semi-long piece called 'this is my disease'. you might enjoy it. i'm working on the second part now.
much peace to you
