My actual name is Shane but most people call me Dad. I've been writing since I was young but lost all of my poetry to a trashcan in 1995. My homelife was a disaster while a child with PTSD my second worst residual affect. Schizoaffective bipolar is my worst. I enjoy writing and have been doing so since my first wife died in January of 2000. I fell in love with a few women in the months after but this was not to be my life. I found Debbie and her kids on AOHell. We've been together for over 7 years now. I've been writing steadily for the past 9 months and have over 350 poems (so far) to my credit. I hope this muse never ends for if it does I may die screaming with all the voices and thoughts in my head. I sign my work with M. Pinnell as a name I wish to have recognized by the general populous. I'm not looking for recognition for my work but I am hoping somebody likes it enough to remember me for it when I'm gone. I am the consumate stepfather as I have 6 stepchildren and many, many more coming in all the time from our neighborhood. I do for them what I can and teach them the world as I found it when I was thrown out at age 16. Life is never meant to be fair but if you try, you succeed. I don't believe in a christian "God" as he is supposedly the reason I was treated so harshly when I was growing up. "I gotta be me" is my favorite phrase in the world. Because I will always have to be who I am. (I tried being somebody else but they got mad and wouldn't let me)
